The Ernie Reyes West Coast World Martial Arts Association boasts over 40 schools across the United States. Founded by Great Grand Masters Ernie Reyes Sr. and Tony Thompson, the West Coast schools have been in existence for 40 years, providing martial arts instruction to thousands of students. Martial Arts hall of famer GGM Ernie Reyes Sr. has been recognized by every leading industry organization for his remarkable contribution to martial arts instruction and performance teams.
The West Coast curriculum has likewise been recognized worldwide for its innovative and ever-evolving approach to martial arts. Having begun as a purely Tae Kwon Do program, the Ernie Reyes West Coast World Martial Arts curriculum now comprises techniques from a variety of disciplines, such as Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, American boxing, and Filipino escrima, all while remaining faithful to its Tae Kwon Do roots.
Ernie Reyes West Coast World Martial Arts Austin has been developing students in the Four Points and Lakeway areas for more than 11 years. In that time, we have had the fortune to graduate more than fifty black belt students, many of them moving all the way from the Little Dragons program (for four to seven year olds) all the way to full fledged black belts. Our studio is tight knit with a family feeling – indeed we have many families training toward black belt together.
We are not a “belt factory” school or association. The rigorous quality standards and history of the Ernie Reyes West Coast World Martial Arts association give quality control and guidelines that ensure rapid development and advancement in early stages that slow as a student achieves higher levels with broader, richer curriculum. As Great Grand Master Ernie has taught us, “Black Belt is the Goal!”Meet Our Team!
